The Ekiti State chapter of the City Boy Movement, led by its State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, will join delegates from across the federation in Abuja for the organisation’s National Retreat scheduled to hold from July 13 to 16, 2026. The retreat, themed “Youth. Unity. Action.”, will bring together National Directors, State Directors and other key stakeholders at the State House Banquet Hall, Three Arms Zone, Abuja, to deliberate on youth mobilisation, organisational development and strategies aimed at strengthening the movement’s structures nationwide.
The gathering comes amid renewed efforts by the City Boy Movement to consolidate its grassroots presence and deepen support for the re-election bid of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. As one of the foremost youth-driven support platforms within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the movement has continued to champion the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda while expanding its reach across the country ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Speaking ahead of the event, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi described the retreat as a critical platform for leaders of the movement to review existing programmes, strengthen internal structures and chart a common course for the future. According to him, the gathering presents an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, reinforce grassroots engagement and develop practical strategies that will further energise the movement’s activities and deepen its impact among young Nigerians.
Members of the Ekiti delegation include the Deputy State Director, Tanimola Kolade; the State Coordinator, Dr Mrs Habibat Fayoke Yusuf; the State Secretary, Oluwaseun Ajifowobaje; the State ICT and Data Officer, Tiwaloluwa Omope; the State Woman Leader; the State Director of Mobilisation, Olu-Ajayi Maxwell Olusegun; and the State Director of Media and Communications, Alofe Ayodele M.
Expected outcomes of the retreat include the adoption of resolutions on organisational development, grassroots mobilisation, youth engagement and improved collaboration among state chapters. Delegates are expected to return to their respective states with fresh ideas and strategic frameworks to strengthen grassroots structures, galvanise support for President Tinubu’s re-election and further consolidate the City Boy Movement’s presence across the federation ahead of the 2027 general election.
