The City Boy Movement (CBM), Ekiti State Chapter, has congratulated the Senate Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, CON, on his 63rd birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s foremost progressive leaders whose contributions to democratic governance, legislative development, and national growth continue to inspire a new generation of political leaders.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Media and Communications of the movement, Alofe Ayodele Moses, on behalf of the State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, and the entire membership of the City Boy Movement in Ekiti State to commemorate the milestone.
According to the statement, Senator Bamidele’s distinguished career has been marked by decades of public service, legislative leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria. It noted that his steadfast dedication to democratic governance and progressive politics has earned him widespread respect within the country’s political landscape.
The group stated that, as Senate Leader, Bamidele has continued to provide strategic leadership in advancing the legislative agenda of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. It added that he has consistently championed reforms aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, promoting economic growth, and improving the welfare of Nigerians, while making significant contributions to the political development of Ekiti State and the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Describing the celebrant as a dependable statesman and mentor, the movement said Bamidele’s humility, accessibility, political experience, and commitment to nurturing emerging leaders have endeared him to party faithful and Nigerians across political divides.
“At 63, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele remains a symbol of purposeful leadership, legislative excellence, and unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals that continue to shape our democracy. The movement reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of progressive governance and the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that leaders such as Senator Bamidele continue to strengthen public confidence in democratic institutions through exemplary service, competence, and selfless leadership.
