The Ekiti State chapter of the CityBoy Movement has intensified its grassroots mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 presidential election, charging women leaders across the state’s 16 local government areas to spearhead efforts aimed at expanding support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.
Speaking during an engagement with the Movement’s Local Government Women Leaders, the State Woman Leader, Ms. Ogunmodede Bisola, reaffirmed the state leadership’s commitment to providing maximum support for grassroots mobilisation efforts, stressing that women remain critical to the success of the Movement’s outreach across Ekiti State.
She urged the local government women leaders to work closely with their respective Local Government Coordinators to ensure a coordinated mobilisation strategy, while discouraging them from relying on external support to carry out their responsibilities.
According to her, the focus should be on building a strong grassroots network capable of mobilising young people, non-party members and first-time voters to identify with the CityBoy Movement and support President Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027.
Also addressing the gathering, the State Director of the Movement, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, emphasised the importance of synergy among all arms of the organisation, particularly between the state and local government women leaders, describing women as indispensable partners in political mobilisation.

He assured the leaders of the full backing of the state chapter, noting that the Movement would continue to provide the necessary support for sensitisation campaigns and the mobilisation of youths, non-party members and undecided voters as part of efforts to broaden support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The State Director further reiterated the Movement’s commitment to inclusiveness, announcing that all Local Government Women Leaders would actively participate in the forthcoming inauguration of the Ekiti State Executive Council of the CityBoy Movement scheduled for September 2026.

Also in attendance were the State Coordinator, Dr. Habibat Fayoke Yusuf; the Deputy State Director, Hon. Tanimola Kolade; the State Secretary, Oluwaseun Ajifowobaje; and other members of the State Executive Council, who reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Movement’s grassroots structures and expanding support across the state’s 16 local government areas.
The meeting underscored the CityBoy Movement’s determination to deepen its grassroots presence across Ekiti State, with the leadership expressing confidence that sustained mobilisation, strategic engagement and inclusive participation would play a pivotal role in galvanising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid in the 2027 presidential election.
