The Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM) in Ekiti State, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, has intensified efforts to consolidate the movement’s grassroots support structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election, pledging deeper collaboration with affiliated support groups across the state.

Kasali gave the assurance during a strategic engagement with representatives of various support groups in Ekiti, where he reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to inclusiveness, youth mobilisation and the equitable distribution of opportunities among its members.

Addressing the gathering, the CBM Director described the support groups as indispensable partners in the realisation of the movement’s objectives, stressing that their continued commitment would be crucial to the success of the organisation’s activities in the build-up to the next presidential poll.

He assured members that all empowerment opportunities, relevant information and available resources would be communicated and distributed fairly among the various groups to ensure that no member is left behind.

According to him, the City Boy Movement remains committed to serving as a dependable partner and support system for its affiliated groups, while also strengthening their capacity to play active and meaningful roles in the nation’s political process.

Kasali explained that one of the cardinal objectives of the movement is to promote political awareness and ensure that accurate information reaches the grassroots, particularly among young people.

He, therefore, urged members of the support groups to take ownership of the enlightenment campaign by educating others, sharing useful information and engaging individuals who may not yet be actively involved in political activities.

The Director further emphasised the need for effective communication within the support groups, noting that the success of the movement depends largely on the ability of members to disseminate important updates and opportunities to their respective constituencies.

“These efforts are aimed at ensuring that all registered support groups benefit from available opportunities, empowerment initiatives and resources provided by the organisation. We value the commitment and sacrifices of our members and will continue to work together for the collective good of the movement,” he said.

Kasali also called on members to remain steadfast, united and actively involved in the activities of the organisation, stressing that consistency, cooperation and sustained participation are critical to achieving the movement’s goals ahead of 2027.

Responding on behalf of the support groups, Mr. Nasiru commended the leadership of the City Boy Movement for creating a platform for engagement and consultation.

He expressed appreciation for the organisation’s continued support and appealed for increased access to empowerment programmes and other benefits for members.

The support groups subsequently reaffirmed their readiness to deepen collaboration with the City Boy Movement and pledged their commitment to advancing the objectives of the organisation through active participation in future programmes and initiatives.
