The Ekiti State chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) will on Thursday, September 17, 2026, inaugurate its State Executive Council under the leadership of the State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, as part of efforts to consolidate its grassroots structure and expand its engagement across the state.

The inauguration, scheduled to take place at the NTS Event Hall, Fajuyi, Ado-Ekiti, will feature a town hall meeting, street engagement and the official unveiling of the movement’s state secretariat.

The programme, themed “Leaving No One Behind,” is expected to bring together members of the National Executive Council, the Ekiti State Executive Council, Local Government Coordinators, stakeholders and supporters of the movement, as well as invited guests from within and outside the state.

Speaking on the programme in Ado-Ekiti, Chairman of the Inauguration Committee, Tiwa Omope, said the activities were designed to consolidate the movement’s grassroots structure and deepen its engagement with youths and communities across Ekiti.

Omope said the theme, “Leaving No One Behind,” reflects the movement’s commitment to broad-based participation and an inclusive approach to grassroots mobilisation.

He explained that the programme would go beyond a ceremonial inauguration, with the town hall meeting providing an opportunity for direct interaction with stakeholders and young people, while the street engagement would take the movement’s activities directly to the people.

According to him, the unveiling of the state secretariat would also provide a permanent coordination point for the movement’s activities and strengthen its organisational operations across the state.

The City Boy Movement is a youth-oriented political support platform with a growing grassroots presence in Ekiti State, with its activities focused on youth participation, community engagement and political mobilisation.

The September 17 event is expected to provide the newly constituted State Executive Council with a formal platform to commence its activities and further expand the movement’s grassroots presence across Ekiti State, with emphasis on unity, inclusion and sustained engagement with communities.
