The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye; Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Adedayo Gold; Director-General, Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Oso Omotosho; and Hon. Dele Owoju, Coordinator, Non-State Actors/Commander, Peace Corps, have confirmed their attendance at the September 17 inauguration of the Ekiti State Executive Council of the City Boy Movement (CBM).

The event, scheduled to hold at the NTS Event Hall, Fajuyi, Ado-Ekiti, will feature a town hall meeting and bring together members of the movement, youth leaders, community stakeholders, political stakeholders and supporters from across the state.

The confirmations followed a series of courtesy visits by the State Director of the City Boy Movement, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, and members of the inauguration committee, led by its Chairman, Tiwa Omope, to the stakeholders in their respective offices in Ado-Ekiti.

During the engagements, the delegation briefed the stakeholders on the vision of the movement and activities lined up for the inauguration, as well as its broader grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The gathering is also expected to provide a platform for the movement to galvanise grassroots support and deepen youth participation in politics, with a focus on mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election and promoting the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration at the grassroots.

The September 17 programme will also attract members of the National Executive Council, the Ekiti State Executive Council, Local Government Coordinators, stakeholders and supporters of the City Boy Movement.

With the theme, “Leaving No One Behind,” the inauguration is designed to strengthen the movement’s grassroots structure, deepen engagement with young people and broaden opportunities for political participation and mobilisation across Ekiti State.

The State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, said the inauguration would mark an important milestone in the development of the movement in Ekiti, stressing that CBM remained committed to building an organised, inclusive and grassroots-driven youth platform.

The Chairman of the inauguration committee, Tiwa Omope, expressed optimism that the participation of prominent stakeholders would further strengthen the movement’s engagement with young people and other critical constituencies ahead of the 2027 elections.

The inauguration is expected to provide a major platform for dialogue, networking and grassroots mobilisation, while formally unveiling the expanded leadership structure of the City Boy Movement in Ekiti State.
