The City Boy Movement (CBM), Ekiti State Chapter, has congratulated former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), describing the development as a fitting recognition of his wealth of experience in public service and governance.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Media and Communications of the movement, Alofe Ayodele Moses, on behalf of the State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, and the entire membership of the group in Ekiti State, the organisation said Fayose’s appointment reflected the confidence reposed in him by the President to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of rural electrification and national development.
The movement expressed confidence that the former governor’s vast administrative experience, leadership acumen and understanding of governance would add significant value to the agency’s mandate of expanding electricity access to underserved communities across the country.
According to the statement, Fayose’s new role also presents an opportunity to facilitate greater developmental projects for Ekiti State, particularly in the area of rural electrification and infrastructure development.
“Dr. Fayose remains one of the most experienced political leaders to have emerged from Ekiti State. We are optimistic that his appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency will further strengthen efforts aimed at improving electricity access and enhancing socio-economic development in rural communities.
